Welcome to Cole County R-V School District, Home of the Eagles!
If your child has not attended our school in the past, please complete the New Student Registration form for each child you wish to enroll, and our Registrar will contact you to verify enrollment.
New student registration opens July 6, 2026.
Before students attend classes in our district, we must receive:
- Proof of residency (DESE - Determining Residency)
- Copy of birth certificate
- Immunization records

If you are enrolling your child in Eagles' Nest Preschool, there are no residency requirements.

- Verify important information such as emergency contacts, health updates, contact information, etc.
- Review and acknowledge the 2026-2027 Student Handbook.
- Review your child’s academic schedule.
Verification for each child must be completed before August 21, 2026.
If you are unable to log in to your Campus Parent account, please email Katie Ballew or call (573) 498-4001.
If you have any questions or need assistance with verification or your child’s academic schedule, we invite you to our Registration Days on August 11-12 (or by appointment) in your choice of high school or elementary offices.
- August 11 from 8:00 am-3:00 pm, closed from noon-12:30 pm for lunch.

MISUSE OF ELECTRONIC PERSONAL COMMUNICATION DEVICES: CELL PHONES, SMART WATCHES, WIRELESS EARBUDS OR SIMILAR DEVICES.
Per Senate Bill 68, signed by Governor Kehoe in 2025, the use of cell phones, smartwatches, wireless earbuds or similar communication devices is strictly prohibited during regular school hours. This policy prohibits using or displaying such devices from the beginning to the end of the school day, including but not limited to during instructional time, meal times, breaks, times between classes, study halls, and any school-related trip during the regular school day. If a student violates this policy, the device will be confiscated and taken to the office. A parent or guardian must pick up the device, and additional disciplinary action may be taken.
Disciplinary action for violations are listed under 4A. Misuse of Electronic Personal Communication Devices: Cell Phones, Smartwatches, Wireless Earbuds or Similar Devices in the 2025-2026 Prek-12 Student Handbook. Exceptions to this policy will only be made for emergency situations or for documented educational or health needs included in an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) or Section 504 Plan, as required by federal law.

Please mark your calendar to attend our Meet the Teacher Night on August 20, 2026, from 4:00-6:00 pm. This event is the perfect opportunity to bring school supplies, visit with teachers, decorate lockers and confirm transportation arrangements.
We kindly ask all families with registration or technology questions to contact the appropriate office prior to Open House, as this event is focused on meeting teachers, touring the building and preparing for the new school year.
As a reminder - all athletes in grades 7-12 must have a valid physical on file with the Activity Director before an athlete will be allowed to practice or compete in MSHSAA contests.

There are no other changes in the way you will experience online payments.
If your student is riding a bus this year, please stop by the Transportation Office during Meet the Teacher Night on Thursday, August 20, from 4:00-6:00 p.m.
This year, Durham is using a new bus routing system, which means bus routes, pickup and drop-off times, and driver assignments may be different from previous years. All families needing bus transportation should verify and register their transportation information to ensure their student is assigned to a route before the first day of school. Please do not assume that your bus number, pickup time or drop off time is the same.
If you are unable to attend Meet the Teacher Night, please contact Transportation Director Deb Schwaller during regular business hours (8:00am - 5:00pm) at (573) 533-8043 or by email at dschwaller@durhamschoolservices.com to register and verify your transportation information.
Please remember that last-minute transportation adjustments often impact other students and families. While we will work through late registrations as quickly as possible, we ask for your patience during the first couple of weeks of school as routes are finalized and refined.
Thank you for helping us provide safe and efficient transportation by verifying your information before the first day of school.
